A weekly feature where I attempt to share some of my favorite songs. Some of these songs are great for riding the twisties while others are perfect for your time on the slab. There are a few songs that I’ll share just because they are fun songs for me to listen to.

This week I feature something smooth and mellow, good ol’ blues and some Pirate Rap.

Artist Track Listen
Seasick Steve Diddley Bo
Why I like it: Described as hubcap music Seasick Steve has an awesome old, country, cluegrass, backwoods, fun sound that makes you tap your feet to even the saddest of songs.  Diddley Bo is not sad though, its a basic song with an upbeat tempo that most people can enjoy.
Rehab Crazy People
Why I like it: From the group that sang the overplayed (albeit good) “Bartender” this explicit song mixes rap and rock with some vocals that can best be described as raw.  The lyrics have a message talking about crazy people….of course.  Great song for twisties
Katy Segal and the Forest Rangers  Son of a Preacher
Why I like it: I know it’s not an original but it’s a great cover but a band that has come a long way thanks to having Katy Segal (Peg Bundy – Married With Children / Gemma Teller Morrow – Sons of Anarchy)  Katy has a great voice and the band….well it play great backup music to Katy’s smooth voice.
